Due to wintry weather moving in, Northern Natural Gas declared a System Overrun Limitation today for all market area zones (ABC, D and E/F).

Sonat reported that its interconnects with the offshore Destin and Sea Robin lines have “been unable to flow gas consistent with scheduled nominations.” Because of this ongoing operational problem, Sonat is monitoring nominations on each cycle and will only schedule them “up to the demonstrated flowing ability” of each receipt point.

The B turbine at El Paso‘s Eunice Station is down for unscheduled repairs to the buffer gas system. It is expected that they will be completed by the end of today. As a result, Eunice capacity has been reduced by 120 MMcf/d to a total of 125 MMcf/d effective through today’s Cycle 4 nominations.

In a posting that almost certainly applies for all other pipes, Northwest noted that Daylight Savings Time ends this Sunday, which means that the Oct. 27 gas day will be 25 hours long. “Please consider this when scheduling gas consumption for that day,” Northwest said.

Columbia Gas has set the start of a shutdown of its Line SM-123 in Mingo County, WV due to long-wall mining activity (see Daily GPI, Oct. 3) for Friday. At that time zero non-firm service will be available at 12 receipt point until further notice.

Transwestern will perform maintenance Nov. 12-19 at Station 2 (Flagstaff, AZ), reducing mainline Thoreau West capacity from 1,100,000 MMcf/d to about 970,000 MMcf/d.
