BC Gas Inc. has extended its open season deadline to June 14 for companies wanting to purchase capacity on its proposed Inland Pacific Connector Pipeline (see Daily GPI, April 4). The 153-mile pipeline would link the new Southern Crossing Pipeline in Oliver to the marketing hub in Huntingdon, B.C., and could be in service by late 2003. The pipeline and related facilities are estimated to cost C$495 million. “Interest in our open season has been very high but several shippers have told us more time was needed to prepare a p roper submission,” said Rich Ballantyne, BC Gas director of transmission and project development. “We want to be flexible and responsive to customer needs, so we are extending the deadline.” Companies may email BC Gas at ipc_info@bcgas.com to obtain an information package.

El Paso said the recent maintenance at White Rock and Line 1212 did not happen as planned, and as a result, there were unusual swings in the scheduled volumes out of the San Juan Basin. Because White Rock compression was down, Basin capacity was lowered to 1,950 MMcf/d for Cycle 4, June 6 and Cycle 2, June 7. On Thursday San Juan Basin capacity was expected to be raised to 2,700 MMcf/d and the San Juan Crossover capacity was to be set at 400 MMcf/d.
