Transwestern reported beginning unplanned maintenance Wednesday on the #2 unit at its Atoka Compressor Station in southeast New Mexico. The work, expected to last through Sunday, is reducing Atoka Lateral capacity from 160,000 MMBtu/d to 131,000 MMBtu/d.

Engine #2 has been returned to service at Grand Chenier (LA) Compressor Station, restoring station capacity to its normal 750 MMcf/d, ANR said Wednesday. Due to combustion problems, the engine had been taken out of service in March for what was expected to be about two weeks of repairs (see Daily GPI, March 21). However, by mid-April the problems proved to be more serious than anticipated, resulting in an extension of the outage (see Daily GPI, April 16).

Gulf South has scheduled about 24 hours of maintenance starting at midnight Tuesday on its Index 129 (West 30) segment. Line capacity there will be limited to 200 MMcf/d for the gas days of Monday and Tuesday, and Gulf South will not schedule any nominations to the Katy Storage facility of Western Gas Resources on those days.

Due to maintenance on Line VM-108, Columbia Gas is not allowing any non-firm service in Market Areas 33 and 34 until further notice.

Saying maintenance at the Oakford Storage Field is complete and full injection capabilities have been restored, Texas Eastern lifted a ban on accepting any due-pipe makeup gas. However, due to mild temperatures across the system and minimal scheduled deliveries, Texas Eastern said it will continue to limit the amount of due-pipeline gas that can be scheduled.

Sonat will take the Deerlick Creek-TRW Receiving Station out of service Monday through Friday next week for maintenance. No nominations for the point will be accepted during this period.

Volumes through the meter will be cut to zero while Tennessee performs maintenance May 22-26 at its Dracut (MA) interconnect with Maritimes & Northeast. About 100,000 Dth/d will be available for delivery through the two pipelines’ Haverhill interconnect. M&N said it is working with other pipelines to establish additional incremental deliverability while the Dracut meter is out of service.
