Florida Gas Transmission ended a lengthy period of Overage Alert Days Saturday.

Saying several interconnecting pipelines were experiencing maintenance-related operational issues affecting their ability to balance receipts and deliveries, Gulf South said in order to protect and manage its system, it had issued a systemwide alert Friday afternoon “encouraging its shippers to closely coordinate with their gas suppliers to ensure that actual receipts into Gulf South’s system match scheduled receipts and to ensure that actual deliveries out of the system match scheduled deliveries at a uniform hourly rate of flow” as practicable. It added that if shippers do not voluntarily comply with these provisions, “Gulf South may be forced to declare a Critical Period or issue an Operational Flow Order.”

CIG is taking bids through July 20 on 105,000 Dth/d of expiring contract capacity that will become available Nov. 1. The Parachute and Sand Springs compressor stations will be the receipt and delivery locations, respectively. See the bulletin board for further details and contact information.
