Florida Gas Transmission extended an Overage Alert Day that began last Wednesday through at least Monday, setting the tolerance for negative daily imbalances at 20%.

Tennessee reported completion of repairs on the 524J-100 line in the South Timbalier area offshore Louisiana and allowed flows to resume at 11 meters as soon as nominations are in place.

Gulf South said it began 12 days of meter facility maintenance Monday at the Sasol Lake Charles Chemical Plant location in southwest Louisiana, during which the meter will be shut in and unavailable for service.

Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) said its California Gas Transmission system expected to receive higher-than-normal heating value gas Monday due to an unscheduled outage at a facility in Canada. “At this time the duration of the event is unknown and the highest value expected is unknown,” PG&E said, adding that the speed at which the high-Btu gas would migrate throughout the system is dependent upon the demand pattern experienced by local transmission and distribution systems. The heat value of the delivered gas is expected to be as high as 1,080 Btu/cf or more, which is above normal levels of 1,020 Btu/cf. The Btu content throughout PG&E’s system “is expected to remain within existing parameters for safe and reliable equipment operation,” the utility said, but some customer processes may be sensitive to natural gas heat content, especially electric generation facilities, refineries, glass manufacturers and commercial customers using natural gas for cooking and drying.
