As it did a week earlier, Southern Natural Gas implemented an OFO Type 6 for long imbalances starting Saturday until further notice. The pipeline cited “historically high storage inventory levels and projected high injection requirements” for the Oct. 4-5 weekend.

Pacific Gas and Electric extended a systemwide high-inventory OFO on its California Gas Transmission system through at least Saturday, but while retaining the OFO’s Stage 3 status and $5/Dth noncompliance penalties, it slightly loosened the tolerance for positive daily imbalances from 12% to 10%.

Citing “tremendous growth in Fayetteville Shale gas production,” TGT said it is holding a binding open season through Oct. 13 for additional firm primary capacity at its Helena #2 receipt point interconnect with CenterPoint in Arkansas. CenterPoint recently announced an open season seeking commitments to expand its ability to receive gas in Arkansas and deliver to a number of interconnects, including Helena #2, TGT said. It proposes to install looping on a portion of its existing 12-inch diameter mainline there to create up to 100,000 MMBtu/d of additional primary firm receipt capacity at Helena #2. See the bulletin board for further details.

Sea Robin Pipeline said the Hess Corp.-operated processing plant on its system was shut in Friday until further notice. As a result, Sea Robin’s Erath Compressor Station in South Louisiana was not operating and was not expected to be back online prior to Monday, the pipeline said. The outage caused Sea Robin to reduce nominations by two-thirds for Friday’s gas day.
