MRT declared a System Protection Warning to be effective from Friday through Tuesday, saying it will not schedule any volumes that result in a daily long imbalance position and will not accept any nominations for makeup of short imbalances during that period.

Effective Wednesday until further notice, affiliated pipelines Panhandle Eastern and Trunkline said operational limitations due to Rockies Express (REX) construction issues were limiting capacities at their receipt interconnects with the newly opened REX-East segment in Putnam County, IN, and Douglas County, IL, respectively. The Panhandle Eastern limit is 40,000 Dth/d while Trunkline is being limited to 110,000 Dth/d. Both pipes said they will be monitoring physical capabilities on a daily basis.

Southern Natural Gas said Enterprise Operating Partners had experienced an unscheduled outage Tuesday at its Toca processing plant in southeast Louisiana. As a result, delivery point operators along the south system could experience a gas stream with more Btus than normal and heavier hydrocarbon content, Southern said. As of late Wednesday afternoon Enterprise had not answered an inquiry on when Toca operations might be restored.

Due to gas quality issues, El Paso reported shutting in the N.N. Waha and N.N. Winkler receipt points in its Permian Basin Waha and Keystone pooling areas until further notice.

CenterPoint has posted a clarifying update on the Operational Alert (OA) under which it continues to operate since the alert was issued Feb. 23. See the bulletin board for a list of currently effective OA conditions.

Citing a mechanical issue on one of the three units, Kern River set operational capacity at Goodsprings Compressor Station at 1,467,000 Dth/d for Thursday. Primary firm service scheduled in the Timely cycle should not be impacted if nominated quantities are similar to those on Tuesday, the pipeline said, adding that it expected to complete repairs by the end of Thursday’s gas day. Kern River also said linepack had returned to normal systemwide Wednesday after being low in the two downstream segments Tuesday.

CIG reported beginning service Monday at its new Totem Storage Field, which connects with CIG’s High Plains system at the Kiowa Creek Meter Station.
