After allowing a one-day systemwide Stage 2 low-inventory OFO to lapse Friday, Pacific Gas & Electric issued a systemwide Stage 2 high-inventory OFO on its California Gas Transmission system for Saturday. A tolerance of 9% was set for positive daily imbalances, with noncompliance penalties of $1/Dth.

With near-freezing temperatures forecasted for a large part of Florida that night, Florida Gas Transmission issued an Overage Alert Day for market-area customers Friday. It set a 25% tolerance for negative daily imbalances.

After ending a System Overrun Limitation (SOL) for all market-area zones after only a one-day run Wednesday, Northern Natural Gas said it would implement an SOL for Zone E/F Saturday, citing “minimum temperature forecasts near or below zero.” Zero System Management Service would be available, Northern said.

Southern Natural Gas said it was “highly likely” that it would implement a Type 6 OFO for Monday’s gas day.

ANR cited gas quality issues in saying it was restricting capacity at the Ship Shoal 207/Enbridge interconnect to 140 MMcf/d from last Thursday through Saturday of this week. Based on recent nominations, ANR anticipated that the reduction may result in the curtailment of Firm Secondary and Interruptible services.

Westcoast reported experiencing a failure at the pig sending barrel on its 18-inch diameter Alaska Highway Pipeline and said all production into and upstream of the affected equipment has been isolated. Westcoast said it is looking at options for diverting upstream production where possible, but due to the location of the failure, production from certain unspecified receipt points will be shut in for an undetermined period.

Kern River has scheduled the required annual test of the emergency shutdown (ESD) system, Unit #2 engine exchange and annual maintenance of Unit #1 at the Fillmore Compressor Station for Tuesday through Thursday this week. The ESD test and unit #2 engine exchange will require a complete station outage Tuesday and Wednesday, but Unit #2 will be available during Thursday’s work on Unit #1. Based on historical flow patterns, estimated operational capacity at Veyo Compressor Station will be 1,877,000 Dth/d Tuesday and Wednesday and 1,972,00 Dth/d Thursday. Average Veyo operational capacity for February is 2,079,000 Dth/d, Kern River said.

TGT has added a new receipt interconnect with Ozark Gas Transmission to its master location list. Service began Thursday at the Ozark-Grandview point on the Fayetteville Lateral, TGT said.
