Trunkline noted that its T-27 platform at Ship Shoal (SS) 274 offshore Louisiana had toppled during Hurricane Ike, causing significant damage to its system from there to the T-25 platform at SS 139. Trunkline said it does not intend to replace the toppled platform, but plans to make subsea repairs in two phases to bring this lateral back in service. The first phase will include capping the segment at SS 274 to allow for flow to recommence from receipt points downstream of SS 274 and upstream of T-25. The second phase will include reconnection of location 80261 in the SS 274 block as well as installation of a tie-in valve for a future reconnection to Tarpon Transmission. Trunkline said Thursday it expects to have the first phase of repairs completed and the SS 274-to-SS 139 segment dewatered and ready to return to service by Jan. 22. The second phase is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2009. Three meters will be cleared for flow when the first phase is complete, while the SS 274 must await completion of the second phase before being cleared for flow.
