Citing lower linepack and Florida forecasts of 90-degree weather, Florida Gas Transmission (FGT) issued an Overage Alert Day for market-area customers Wednesday. The tolerance for negative daily imbalances was set at 20%. FGT said it would not interrupt previously scheduled market-area ITS-1 service for Wednesday’s gas day “below the elapsed prorated scheduled quantity.”

After having cautioned shippers Tuesday that it might need to issue an OFO due to excess volumes being nominated through Meacham Compressor Station, Northwest said a realignment OFO will take effect Thursday until further notice. Northwest said the action was necessary because Timely cycle nominations for Wednesday’ gas day through Meacham exceeded the station’s operational capacity of 440,000 Dth/d. Realignment OFO provisions require shippers to shift nominations from receipt points south of Meacham to receipt points north of the station. “Alternatively, shippers may elect to voluntarily reduce their nominations through Meacham by the OFO volume or take other mutually agreeable action to alleviate the problem,” the pipeline said. See the bulletin board for other OFO conditions.

After implementing a Strained Operating Condition (SOC) at the start of Tuesday’s gas day due to excess drafting of its system (see Daily GPI, June 18), El Paso lifted the SOC that afternoon, saying, “Corrective actions by customers with regards to the alignment of takes with scheduled supplies has increased system linepack to acceptable operating levels.” It added that early completion Tuesday evening of San Juan Crossover maintenance had increased north-to-south flexibility. The situation had changed enough that El Paso said Wednesday morning the probability of declaring an SOC or Critical Operating Condition had been reset to moderate due to high linepack.

Rockies Express (REX) reported being at capacity for deliveries through Segment 250 (between the Bertrand and Steele City compressor stations) effective Thursday until further notice. “Based on the current level of nominations, AOR/IT [and] secondary out-of-path quantities are at risk of not being scheduled,” REX said.
