Citing forecasts of “extremely cold wind chill factor temperatures,” Northern Natural Gas implemented a System Overrun Limitation for all market-area zones (ABC, D and E/F) Saturday. Allowable System Management Service was set at zero in all three zones.

Due to forecasts of weekend temperatures near or below zero degrees F in much of its ML-7 market area, ANR declared an Extreme Condition for Saturday, which lowered the pipeline’s Swing Percentage (imbalance tolerance) from 10% to 5%. See the bulletin board for other Extreme Condition requirements.

Columbia Gas said Saturday would be deemed a Critical Day in Market Areas 2, 4, 6, 7, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 29, 32, 35, 36, 38, 39 and 40. In order to meet its firm service obligations, Columbia said zero nonfirm capacity would be available in those market areas.

Maritimes & Northeast said Friday it would begin restrictions on imbalance-related nominations Sunday similar to those announced a day earlier by affiliates Texas Eastern and Algonquin (see Daily GPI, Feb. 8).

Columbia Gulf said it would increase capacity Saturday through the Delhi Constraint Point in northeast Louisiana to 1,400,000 Dth/d.
