Kinder Morgan Interstate has lifted injection restrictions for all of its storage services (ISS, NNS, FSS and SCS) and for Storage Park & Loan (S-PALS) service that were implemented in late August.

TransCanada reported that compression outages at the TransQuebec & Maritimes (TQM) Station 650 (Lachenaie) are continuing (see Daily GPI, Dec. 4). As a result, TransCanada expected to not authorize any discretionary deliveries to the GMi EDA and East Hereford points Wednesday, although it did not anticipate curtailing any firm transportation. As the operational situation continues to improve, TransCanada said, it may be in a position to allow a modest amount of discretionary services through the Lachenaie bottleneck. TQM’s declaration of force majeure to TransCanada effective for the Dec. 2 gas day due to a multiple compressor unit failure at Station 650 prompted TransCanada to issue its own force majeure declaration to firm shippers delivering to GMi EDA and East Hereford in the event that firm curtailments will be required.

Effective with the Intraday 1 cycle for Wednesday’s gas day, Northwest began accepting nomination requests at the Jackson Prairie facility for interruptible storage under its SGS-2I rate schedule. If it becomes necessary for Northwest to utilize this storage capacity for firm obligations or system balancing, the pipeline said it will provide affected customers with seven-day advance notice to withdraw their interruptible storage gas. Northwest also said it has activated the Silver Dome receipt point on its mainline just north of Vernal Compressor Station in Uintah County, UT. The point is operated by Wyoming Interstate Co. and has capacity of 300,000 Dth/d.

Columbia Gulf began accepting receipt/delivery nominations Wednesday at Pine Prairie Energy Project LLC, a bidirectional meter in Evangeline Parish, LA, with capacity of 600,000 Dth/d.
