NGPL reported that a ruptured section of the Illinois Lateral’s #2 line in Whiteside County, IL, just north of Compressor Station 110 (see Daily GPI, Oct. 18) has been replaced. However, it has been determined that additional work and testing will be required, NGPL said. Until this is completed, which is expected to extend through the winter season, it will operate the Illinois Lateral at a reduced operating pressure. Reduced scheduling levels will remain in effect until further notice.

Southern Natural Gas canceled pigging operations that had been scheduled for Oct. 24-25 on the 14-inch diameter Logansport Line and 16-inch diameter Logansport Supply Line west of Bienville Compressor Station in North Louisiana.

Scheduled maintenance at Olla Compressor Station, which began at 7 a.m. Central time Tuesday and was previously expected to last about 48 hours, has been extended through Oct. 30, Gulf South said. Capacity through the station could be cut by as much as 250,000 Dth/d during this work, the pipeline added.

During Department of Transportation-required system integrity inspections on its ML 40 segment, Questar said it discovered an anomaly that needs to be repaired in the Nine Mile Canyon area. Due to weather concerns and access to the area, ML 40 was taken out of service in this area Thursday morning. To facilitate the work, Questar implemented a new scheduling point Thursday named Blind Canyon, near Nine Mile Canyon, and scheduled westbound gas at this point to zero. “This will affect volumes from the east destined to delivery points west of this location by approximately 190,000 Dth/d,” Questar said. “In addition, Peters Point MAP 353 will need to be shut in for the work.” Questar expects to return to normal service effective with Cycle 1 nominations Friday.

During mandatory Oct. 22-26 maintenance on a valve near the Southwest Gas interconnect with Transwestern and El Paso, deliveries into Las Vegas from El Paso and Transwestern will be unavailable for at least two days during the maintenance period, according to a Southwest posting. Customers were advised to refrain from scheduling any supplies into Las Vegas from El Paso and/or Transwestern during this period.

Maritimes & Northeast U.S. (M&N) took the Richmond Compressor Station out of service Tuesday for work that will last through Oct. 30. Depending on the level of customer nominations, M&N anticipates potential service restrictions through Richmond. In addition, a pipeline outage between Richmond and the Baileyville Compressor Station is set for Oct. 22-23. M&N said it will work with upstream receipt point operators to minimize any throughput restrictions. All flows through Baileyville will be reduced to zero during the two-day outage, and backhaul services may be restricted on the segment extending from Richmond to M&N-Canada depending on the requested nominations.
