Pacific Gas & Electric will end Thursday a systemwide high-inventory OFO that was implemented Tuesday.

Due to favorable working conditions resulting in an accelerated work plan, Northwest said it expected to complete anomaly investigations near the Muddy Creek Compressor Station sometime Wednesday evening, two days earlier than expected (see Daily GPI, June 26). Northwest planned to restore the Muddy Creek North Constraint Point to its north-flow design capacity of 652,000 Dth/d Thursday and end the associated Declared Deficiency Period.

Citing operational conditions on its system and the expectation of warmer temperatures, Kern River said it will reduce capacity at the Veyo Compressor Station to 2,005,000 Dth/d effective Friday until further notice.

Anticipating moderate temperatures throughout much of its market area over the weekend before and the week of the Fourth of July, Transco appealed to shippers to “proactively balance their supply and demand requirements on a daily basis, ensuring that flowing supplies have real markets.” In order to ensure maintenance of operating flexibility, effective with the Intraday 1 nomination cycle for Thursday’s gas day Transco will take the following actions: 1) change the pool balancing tolerance to 1%; (2) will not allow any due-pipeline imbalance makeup nominations by shippers or Operational Balancing Agreement parties; (3) no excess storage injections will be allowed; and (4) no incremental parked gas or return of loaned gas will be accommodated.

ANR said Wednesday it must begin unplanned engine repairs at St. John Compressor Station in Indiana, which will cut total St. John west-to-east capacity by 115 MMcf/d (leaving 1,190 MMcf/d available) Thursday and Friday. Based on current nominations along the Michigan Legs, ANR anticipates that the reduction will result in the curtailment of IT and Firm Secondary nominations. ANR also said it had completed meter repairs at the Midwestern Joliet Meter Station in Illinois and had lifted all associated capacity restrictions.

CenterPoint issued an Operational Alert in connection with planned July 4-6 maintenance at Vernon Compressor Station (Line CP-CP Pooling Area). During this time Line CP capacity will be reduced to 873,000 Dth/d, and no IT or Secondary services will be allowed. A pro rata reduction of Primary Firm delivery obligations will be implemented. All parties involved in any such reduction will be notified by telephone, CenterPoint said.
