After implementing a Strained Operating Condition notice Wednesday (see Daily GPI, July 27), El Paso canceled it later that day, saying system conditions had improved due to moderating weather that reduced overall takes. “In addition, customer response has sufficiently balanced receipts to takes,” the pipeline said, adding that linepack had returned to “acceptable levels” and withdrawals from the Washington Ranch storage facility were discontinued.

Citing mechanical equipment failure, Northwest canceled pigging operations that had been scheduled Thursday and Friday between the Pleasant View Station and the La Plata section of pipe. La Plata B Compressor Station was restored to design capacity of 349,000 Dth/d during the evening and intraday nomination cycles for Thursday’s gas day.

Questar will be performing required Department of Transportation compliance maintenance at its Oak Spring Compressor Station Aug. 22-24. Capacity of the ML 104 scheduling point will be reduced to zero in nomination cycles 1 and 2 for Aug. 22, then increased to 270,000 Dth/d in cycles 3 and 4 that day. Capacity will remain at 270,000 Dth/d Aug. 23 before rising to 320,000 Dth/d Aug. 24. It will return to the normal 370,000 Dth/d Aug. 25.
