Florida Gas Transmission ended Thursday an Overage Alert Day that had begun Monday.

Dominion will take Engine No. 7 at Cornwell Compressor Station out of service Monday for approximately two weeks. Production at 10 locations in the area must be reduced by 40% during the outage.

Effective Friday, Columbia Gulf will accept up to 309,000 Dth/d in receipt nominations at Egan Hub in South Louisiana.

Southern Natural Gas reported filing an application Wednesday with FERC asking authorization to abandon by sale to Denbury Onshore LLC part of the western portion of Southern’s system, which extends from Gwinville Compressor Station in Jefferson Davis County, MS west to its terminus in Tensas Parish, LA. Southern also seeks to abandon certain services provided through such facilities. “The facilities being sold were originally constructed to connect gas supplies produced in this area to Southern’s system, but production from those fields has gradually diminished over time to one small source of gas. Currently, the facilities deliver small volumes of gas to four municipal customers on a firm basis and to one small oil producing facility on an interruptible basis. All four of the firm customers being served through the facilities have consented to the abandonment by sale to Denbury,” a producing company, the pipeline said. Denbury intends to convert portions of the facilities from transportation of natural gas to transportation of carbon dioxide for use in enhanced oil recovery drilling and production operations. Southern said Denbury has made arrangements to assure continuation of natural gas service to affected firm transportation customers under alternative commercial arrangements.
