Southern California Gas postponed the second phase of work scheduled in the San Joaquin Valley on Line 225. That ended Wednesday afternoon a large reduction in capacity at the Wheeler Ridge delivery point into SoCalGas due to this maintenance, which had previously been scheduled to run through Friday (see Daily GPI, March 1). The second phase of the project has not yet been rescheduled, a SoCalGas spokeswoman said.

Citing forecasts of cold weather in its service area, MRT implemented a System Protection Warning effective with the start of Friday’s gas day until further notice. No daily short imbalances are being allowed during the SPW.

Capacity through the Sharon (LA) Compressor Station will be limited to 450,000 MMBtu/d Monday through Friday this week for station horsepower maintenance and installation, TGT said.

Due to late delivery of the pump down compressor due to road weight restrictions, Westcoast delayed the start of its White Rock Project until Saturday (March 18). However, Westcoast said it would not delay the tie-in start-up set for Monday “as the timing of tie-ins is critical to the successful completion of this project before spring runoff. It will simply shorten the number of pump down days, which will result in conserving less blowdown gas than originally planned.” See the bulletin board for a revised schedule of White Rock Project activities, which are expected to be completed March 31, and the resulting limits on delivery capacity to the Huntingdon/Sumas export point.

NOVA reverted to its normal daily imbalance tolerance range of +4/-4 Thursday after having changed it to +4/0 the day before because of falling linepack.

NGPL will be making manifold piping revisions at Compressor Station 801 in Carter County, OK (the break between NGPL’s Midcontinent and TexOk Zones) from Tuesday of this week until Monday, March 27. The pipeline had previously expected that the work would not impact scheduling in the area, but it said Friday further analysis has determined that Primary transports may be at risk of not getting fully scheduled. ITS/AOR and Secondary out-of-path transports will not be available during the project.

The name of Overthrust Pipeline Co. has been changed to Questar Overthrust Pipeline Co. Customer reports, invoices and other communications are being changed to reflect the new name.
