Citing “disparate treatment” of its proposed Sweden Valley pipeline expansion project relative to some liquefied natural gas (LNG) export projects, Dominion Energy is calling on FERC to approve its plans by Thursday.

More than three years after first submitting an application to FERC, and after a bitter fight with state regulators, Millennium Pipeline Co. LLC’s Valley Lateral project officially entered service on Monday after receiving final authorization from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

PetroQuest Energy Inc.’s first multi-well pad in the Cotton Valley formation, trending above the Haynesville Shale, reached a cumulative rate of 27,697 Mcf/d of natural gas, 1,678 b/d of natural gas liquids and 67 b/d of oil in its initial 24-hour gross rate, the producer said.

Spectra Energy Corp.’s Valley Crossing Pipeline LLC has been awarded the contract for a 168-mile Texas intrastate natural gas pipeline project by Mexico’s Comision Federal de Electricidad (CFE). It will deliver gas to a planned undersea pipeline that will run from Texas to Mexico.

Mountain Valley Pipeline LLC has filed at FERC for its 301-mile project to transport up to 2 million Dth/d of Appalachian gas to serve markets in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast, as well as in Appalachia.

EQT Corp. and NextEra Energy Inc. unit NextEra US Gas Assets LLC on Tuesday launched a binding open season for their Mountain Valley Pipeline project after receiving more than 1.5 Bcf/d of firm capacity commitments during a nonbinding open season that ended in July.

Equitrans LP is holding a nonbinding open season through March 13 for firm transmission and storage capacity on a system to be known as Allegheny Valley Connector, which would consist of transmission and storage assets that are expected to transfer to EQT Corp. as part of a transaction with Peoples Natural Gas Co. LLC. EQT is the parent of Equitrans through its EQT Midstream Partners LP. The system is in the Marcellus Shale region, and its primary function is to store and transport gas to Peoples interconnects, including gas for use by Peoples and other suppliers. Goodrich Petroleum Corp. officials said they were “extremely pleased” with results from several wells in the Tuscaloosa Marine Shale (TMS), while the company’s “balanced portfolio” saw net crude oil production climb to 1.1 million bbl in 2012, a 70% increase over 2011.
