In an update Friday of supply availability on its 500 and 800 Lines, Tennessee said current shut-in production as a result of damage from Hurricanes Katrina and Rita totals about 350,000 Dth/d. About 100,000 Dth/d is offline due to pipeline damage and 250,000 Dth/d is shut in due to third-party damage, Tennessee said. See the bulletin board for an itemized list of ongoing recovery projects and Tennessee’s projections for when they will be completed.

Although it was reporting normal linepack in all segments Friday, Kern River said linepack had started to increase and going into the weekend it needed the cooperation of customers in staying on rate (adhering to scheduled nominations) and not banking gas on the system unless arrangements were previously made.

TransCanada will hold a combined “Canadian Mainline and Alberta Customer Feedback Session” Feb. 16 in Calgary. “Changes in the geographic distribution of supply and demand in Alberta [have] resulted in increasing likelihood of restriction to Interruptible deliveries to NGTL’s [NOVA] East Gate (Empress, McNeil, storage injection),” TransCanada said in announcing the meeting. “Given the large number of shippers moving IT-D and IT-S on NGTL, there is potential for significant disruption to both Firm and Interruptible shippers on downstream interconnecting pipelines (Mainline and Foothills).” The feedback session will focus on current restriction procedures and seek customer input on potential changes, such as ranking, to mitigate impacts, TransCanada said. It assured that absent facility outages, NOVA has adequate capability to meet its firm service delivery obligations at East Gate. Those interested in attending the session were asked to RSVP by Feb. 10 to Kathy Tomilson at (403) 920-6849 or via e-mail at kathy_tomilson@transcanada.com.
