Citing Hurricane Katrina-caused reductions in receipts into Zone 3 of its system and 90-degree forecasts for the Florida market area, Florida Gas Transmission initiated a new Overage Alert Day notice Sunday and kept it in effect through at least Monday. The tolerance for negative daily imbalances was set at 25% both days.

Tennessee posted a list of 10 meters that it had determined could begin flowing again. Nominations for those meters were being accepted effective for Monday’s Timely Cycle. Tennessee added Mainline Valve 524 to Mainline Valve 528 (Port Sulphur) as ones that must remain closed until further notice.

Trunkline reported clearing for flow the Murphy-operated South Timbalier 63 meter. Field personnel have completed pressure testing the pipeline east of its T-25 Platform at Ship Shoal 139, with the exception of the 319B-2400 Line east of the T-22 platform at South Timbalier 175, Trunkline said. Ten points on that line remain unavailable until pressure testing can be finished. The South Timbalier 187 receipt point is still unavailable due to pipeline-related operational issues, and six other points are still shut in due to producer-related operational issues such as loss of power, platform damage, etc., Trunkline said.

Southern Natural Gas said Monday it had discovered damage to pipe supports at levee crossings north of the Toca (LA) Compressor Station, but believes it can complete those repairs without impacting flows. Field personnel were able to access the station Saturday for the first time since Hurricane Katrina’s passage, the pipeline added. “Based on a visual inspection, compressor units, liquids handling facilities and other equipment at the station did experience damage due to flooding. However, the full extent of the damage will not be known until initial assessments and detailed assessments can be completed.” Southern expects to finish the initial assessments by this weekend. Initial assessments of subsea pipelines are under way, but other than riser damage noted previously, Southern is not yet aware of any significant subsea damage.

Gulfstream reported experiencing low linepack levels due to recent actual deliveries out of the system exceeding actual receipts into the system. Urging shippers to closely coordinate volumes with their suppliers, Gulfstream said effective Monday until further notice it will not schedule any due-shipper imbalance makeup transactions, and asked those with due-pipeline imbalances to resolve them as soon as practicably.

Pipeline modification work related to a previously scheduled project is required near Station 40, Transco said. Currently it plans to perform this work during the Sept. 19-23 period, during which receipts from the Vidor Amerada and Vidor Ames meters will not be available.

ANR is taking bids through 11 a.m. CDT Wednesday for 500,000 dekatherms of gas that the pipeline wishes to sell to balance its system. ANR said it will not sell packages greater than 17,000 Dth/d “unless delivery is made via infield storage transfer.” Acceptable bids must be quoted at a fixed price or at a basis relative to Henry Hub. See the bulletin board for details.
