Kern River was reporting low linepack in all four segments Tuesday. That is a big change from much of this year when it was experiencing high linepack systemwide.

Questar reminded customers of upcoming expansion modifications on its southern system that will require shut-ins and curtailments. During the Aug. 15-22 period the West Fidlar scheduling point will be reduced to 65,000 Dth/d and the ML 80 scheduling point will be reduced to 200,000 Dth/d. On Aug. 15 Questar will require the shut-ins of 15 points that will be nominated to zero. Only one point will be shut in Aug. 16 and three points will be shut in Aug. 17-22. See the bulletin board for affected points.

Because the gas being tendered to Transco at the UTOS-Transco meter — the interconnect between Transco and Enbridge Offshore Pipelines (UTOS) — is not meeting the gas merchantability requirement in Transco’s tariff, effective Friday until further notice the meter’s receipts will be restricted to 75,000 Dth/d “to ensure that adequate quantities of gas received at the UTOS interconnect are being processed,” Transco said Tuesday. Additional restrictions may be implemented if that action does not result in the UTOS gas meeting the merchantability requirement, it added.
