Transwestern said it has received a number of shipper requests to move incremental volumes from the WFS [Williams Field Services] Milagro plant in San Juan Basin, but these requests have exceeded the current meter run’s capacity. Thus Transwestern will performing an estimated four to five hours of maintenance Thursday on the meters used for the receipt of gas from the Milagro plant. Transco said Tuesday it expects the High Island 199 and 170 production platforms to remain shut in until around June 7 while repairs continue on a section of its High Island Lateral. Originally three platforms were reported shut in (see Daily GPI, May 12) after Transco discovered third-party damage to the lateral. Metallurgical analysis indicated that the affected section should be replaced before returning the pipe to service, Transco said, adding, “Work is now under way to cut out and replace the damaged portion of the pipeline.”

Kern River noted that on April 28 it began notifying customers via e-mail of downstream capacity available at the Wheeler Ridge delivery point as a service to help them better utilize the capacity to the greatest extent possible. “However, after analyzing the data from the past month, Wheeler Ridge capacity has not been as fully utilized by our customers as we had hoped. Therefore, the e-mail service will be discontinued effective immediately,” the pipeline said Monday. It added that it “continues to be concerned that our customers will be exposed to large reductions to the Wheeler Ridge downstream capacity once summertime temperatures in California arrive. We still urge that our customers do their best to utilize the downstream capacity as much as possible.” Kern River also reported Tuesday that linepack had returned to normal in all four segments following an extended period of high linepack in most or all of the segments.

Dominion said it must take Huff Creek Station out of service Wednesday, and as a result production in Bubbles 2303 and 2304 that enters Dominion’s Gathering Dry System on the suction side of Huff Creek Station must shut in no later than 6 a.m. EDT. Barring unforeseen circumstances, production may be restored at 4 p.m. the same day, the pipeline said, but producers must check with field personnel in the Pineville District prior to turning flows back on.
