A Declared Deficiency Period that took effect Wednesday on Northwest will last through Thursday. The constraint resulted from the scheduled installation of pigging facilities at M.P. 139 near the Moab (UT) Compressor Station, which reduced available capacity through Moab to zero. “Design capacity at the Moab Compressor on a south flow gas day is 355,000 Dth/d, resulting in a daily deficiency volume of 355,000 Dth/d,” Northwest said. During the Deficiency Period it is cutting nominations in accordance with its priority of service until the station reaches a net throughput of zero.

Southern California Gas issued a high-linepack OFO for Thursday with 10% tolerance for positive daily imbalances.

Effective for Thursday’s gas day, NGPL is raising the available nominations limit at three receipt points that were shut in after last Friday’s rupture in the TexOk zone from a total of 225,000 Dth/d to 300,000 Dth/d (see Daily GPI, May 18). Ten other points in the vicinity remain shut in.

El Paso reported discovering a problem late Monday afternoon on Line 1202 downstream of White Rock Station that required replacing a section of pipe. The line was shut in that night and repairs were made Tuesday, causing the scheduled pigging of Line 1202 from White Rock to Gallup Station to be postponed. However, El Paso said it was taking advantage of the reduced flows to perform other maintenance that had been planned for later in the year (see the bulletin board for details). The pipeline’s San Juan Basin capacity will be reduced from a base of 2,820 MMcf/d by 600 MMcf/d Thursday and by 225 MMcf/d May 20 through June 5.
