In a System Protection Warming declared Monday, MRT said that due to warm weather in its service area, effective with the start of Tuesday’s gas day it will not accept any long imbalance positions through the end of March.

Questar has issued an OFO all firm storage capacity holders (FSS rate schedule) indicating their required withdrawal volumes in preparation for testing facilities at the pipeline’s Clay Basin Storage Reservoir during April. Questar has scheduled a shut-in test at Clay Basin for April 5-18. In addition, a withdrawal test is set for April 4. Based on current inventory, the total withdrawal test volume is estimated to be 278,000 dekatherms, Questar said. See the bulletin board for a schedule of testing conditions, which include the allowance of only physical withdrawals, with no injections, during the March 29-April 3 period.

Not long after finishing unscheduled maintenance on Unit #3 at Montpelier Compressor Station (see Daily GPI, March 28), Gulf South said it will initiate another session of unscheduled work on the unit Tuesday until further notice. Again, capacity through the station could be affected by as much as 75 MMcf/d.

Tennessee selected Egan Hub Partners, L.P. to provide third-party storage service to be used by the pipeline for potential temporary balancing requirements on its 800 Leg during the April 1-Sept. 30 period. Tennessee said it got no acceptable competitive bid for similar service on the 500 Leg during a recent solicitation (see Daily GPI, March 22).
