After cautioning shippers Monday that one might become necessary, Florida Gas Transmission went ahead and declared an Overage Alert Day notice Tuesday with 25% tolerance for negative daily imbalances. Forecasts indicate near-freezing temperatures in the northern half of Florida, FGT said.

Citing the current inventory level and forecasted withdrawal activity, Questar lifted Tuesday a mandatory withdrawal requirement for ISS customers at its Clay Basin storage facility. ISS customers will not be allowed to inject into or transfer into their accounts, but may continue to withdraw or transfer out of the accounts, Questar said. The pipeline had required ISS storage holders to begin withdrawals of all working gas Nov. 23 due to ongoing warm weather and associated Clay Basin injections (see Daily GPI, Nov. 18).

Questar also said it is interested in buying 5,840 dekatherms of in-place Clay Basin gas to facilitate its monthly imbalance cash-out program. Offers must be e-mailed to Lynn Arnold at lynn.arnold@questar.com by noon MST Wednesday. Call Arnold at (801) 324-2941 for more information.
