Florida Gas Transmission did not continue an Overage Alert Day notice for its market area beyond Tuesday, but alerted customers that one could be reinstituted Thursday to keep linepack from falling too low.

Effective with Wednesday’s gas day a Muddy Creek South constraint point was set up at milepost 437, Northwest said. The point, where design capacity is 319,000 Dth/d, “is located below Kern River and Opal and above Green River Gathering and Crossover 16,” it added. A northbound override capacity was set for Wednesday’s Timely cycle at 370,000 Dth/d, and alternate gas flowing north in excess of that amount will be cut, Northwest said.

In addition, “Historical operating conditions relating to cooling fall temperatures have severely limited mainline blending capabilities,” Northwest said in advising shippers Tuesday afternoon that effective Nov. 1 all gas delivered to it must meet all tariff specifications. The pipeline specifically cited this Section 3.1 requirement: “The hydrocarbon dew point of the gas delivered shall not exceed fifteen degrees Fahrenheit at any pressure between 100 psia and 1,000 psia as calculated from the gas composition and shall be free from hydrocarbons in the liquid state.”

Scheduled maintenance at the McComb Compressor Station in Walthall County, MS has been extended through Nov. 1, Gulf South said. The work, which began Sept. 3 and was originally expected to end Oct. 3, is not anticipated to cause any additional capacity reduction other than the 75 MMcf/d cut associated with ongoing maintenance at Montpelier Compressor Station in St. Helena Parish, LA that will run through Nov. 15 (see Daily GPI, Aug. 28).
