NYC Leads Northeast Uprising; Other Regions Mildly Softer
The Big Apple was where the big prices were Monday. Transco’s Zone 6-New York City pool spiked as high as $18 and rose more than $2 on average to lead more modest gains at most other Northeast points as a new winter storm took aim at southern portions of the region. Also effective with Wednesday’s gas day, no due-shipper gas will be allowed to be taken off the system.
Rockies Softness Runs Counter to Mostly Higher Prices
Numbers falling as low as the mid $0.40s in the Rockies and a flat Transco Zone 6-NYC belied an overall stronger cash market Tuesday. Excluding the Rockies and Transco citygate, gains ranged from about a nickel to about 20 cents, with those in the low to mid teens most common.
