As of Wednesday until further notice, Northwest shippers withprimary corridor rights southbound through Kemmerer (WY) Station arerequired to flow up to 10% of their contract demand from receiptpoints north of Kemmerer. That represents a reduction from 25% thathad been in effect since Dec. 15 (see Daily GPI, Dec. 18).

In an effort to hold off power supply shortages until largerelectricity generating plants come online, the New York PowerAuthority (NYPA) reported that it has selected sites within NewYork City for nine of 11 natural gas-burning generators itpurchased from General Electric Packaged Power.

Northwest issued a Declared Stage II Entitlement for deliverypoints north of the Kemmerer (WY) Compressor Station, effectiveSaturday until further notice. The purpose was to prevent customerdrafting of the system and to preserve Northwest’s Jackson Prairiestorage inventory, the pipeline said. A Receiving Party is subjectto penalties for delivery point takes of more than 8% above itsconfirmed nominations.
