Northwest began running a 96-hour test on the Snohomish (WA)Compressor Station’s Unit No. 1 Friday. The test, along with warmerweather and reduced weekend damand, did not allow Northwest toreceive the full 1,097,000 dekatherms of total supply at theSumas/Sipi throughput point. The pipeline capped Sumas/Sipi volumesat 1,000,000 dekatherms Sunday and raised that to 1,050,000dekatherms for Monday’s gas day. No constraint is scheduled todayas the work was expected to end Monday evening.

At first a Kingsgate capacity limitation of 2,050 MMcf/dwas expected to begin today and last through Thursday, but lateMonday afternoon the pipeline said it was able to raise theKingsgate ceiling to 2,200 MMcf/d “due to unseasonably cool ambienttemperatures.”

There will be zero flow through Finney County (KS) Station April21-22 during maintenance on the station’s Unit #4, Northern NaturalGas said. It estimated 13,000 MMbtu/d will be affected. About150,000 MMbtu/d will be affected at Spraberry Compressor Station inWest Texas during a one-day emergency shutdown test and changeoutof valves May 3.

Semco Sells Gas Marketing Unit to MCN
Semco Energy Inc. sold Semco Energy Services, its natural gasmarketing arm, to MCN Energy Group only weeks after announcingintentions to exit the gas marketing side of its business. Nofinancial terms of the deal were disclosed except that Semcoexpects to record a gain on the sale and the companies expect thetransaction to close by the end of March.
