Florida Gas Transmission did not extend an Overage Alert Day beyond Tuesday. It also did not issue an Underage Alert Day on Wednesday, which it had warned market-area customers might be necessary because of the possibility that rains from Tropical Storm Ernesto might cause an underburn that day.

A day after cautioning that it might need to declare an Underage Alert Day Tuesday due to high linepack and soft market-area demand (see Daily GPI, June 20), conditions apparently had changed enough that Florida Gas Transmission issued an Overage Alert Day instead, citing forecasts of 90-degree weather in Florida. The OAD carried 25% tolerance for negative daily imbalances.

As it had advised shippers the day before, Florida Gas Transmission found it necessary to issue an Underage Alert Day notice Friday. The OFO had a 5% tolerance for positive imbalances east of Station 12 in north-central Florida.

Citing mild market area weather and high linepack, Florida Gas Transmission declared an Underage Alert Day Tuesday with 10% tolerance for positive daily imbalances. FGT also said it will be performing unplanned maintenance today and Thursday at an off-system interconnect with Tennessee at Carnes, MS. Interconnect volumes are limited to 30 MMcf/d during the work.
