El Paso said it would complete cleaning of Line 1103 on itsSouth Mainline Friday, and will conduct its smart pigging projecttoday, Wednesday and Thursday. The reduction in capacity fromKeystone Station to Pecos River Station will be only 100 MMcf/dtoday, but will rise Wednesday and Thursday to the previouslyannounced 335 MMcf/d (see Daily GPI, March 15). Maintenance atCornudas B and Hueco will continue during this time, El Paso said,causing varying day-by-day allocations in Pecos and Waha Westcapacity. See the bulletin board for details.

Transportation Notes

Columbia Gulf said last week it had resumed taking nominations atthe NGPL-South Pecan Lake, NGPL-Erath, NGPL-Chalkley and AEP-JeffersonIsland meter stations. Receipts at those points and others weresuspended in late January because they failed to comply with ColumbiaGulf’s enforcement of a heating value limit of 1,050 Btus per cubicfoot (see Daily GPI, Jan. 22).

Gulf South (formerly Koch Gateway) is performing unscheduledmaintenance on one unit at the Bistineau Compressor Station innorthwest Louisiana until further notice. Withdrawals from theBistineau storage facility could be reduced as much as 100 MMcf/duntil repairs are completed.

Transco notified shippers Monday that the North Terrebonne GasProcessing Plant in South Louisiana resumed processing committedplant owner and third-party gas production as of Thursday. Theplant had suspended operations Jan. 1, a Transco spokesman said.

BP and PricewaterhouseCoopers are expanding their businessprocess outsourcing (BPO) relationship, first begun four years agoin South America, to now include North America. The contractaddition, worth more than $200 million over nine years, willinclude BP’s newly acquired ARCO and Vastar onshore and offshoreU.S. Lower 48 operations.

Citing unanticipated delays, Tennessee said Tuesday thatrehabilitation work on its Donna Lateral in South Texas, scheduledfor Oct. 23-24, must be extended at least into today. Until furthernotice, nominations will continue to be refused at 18 meters.

Also, FGT lifted Friday an Overage Alert Day noticefor its market area.

AEP, CSW Sticking to Core Wholesale, Delivery

After waiting two and a half years, American Electric Powercompleted its $4.6 billion purchase of Central and South West Corp.last week following approval from the Securities and ExchangeCommission (SEC). The deal creates the U.S.’s largest electricutility with annual revenues of $12.5 billion, assets of more than$35 billion, more than 4.8 million customers in 11 states, and38,000 MW of power generation in the U.S.
