ExxonMobil Production Co. is soliciting bids to sell its operated interests in several Texas fields. In West Texas, fields included in the sale are Wink South (Winkler County), Yarbrough & Allen (Ector County), and Will-O (Val Verde County). The East Texas area fields include Giddings (Burleson, Lee, Grimes and Washington counties) and Pruitt Van (Van Zandt County). The Texas Panhandle field for sale is Lathem (Hartley County). Bids will be due March 2, and the effective date of the sale will be June 2. A compact disc containing sales instructions and sample agreements, accounting, geological engineering data and land descriptions will be available in mid-January. ExxonMobil Production Co. is soliciting bids to sell its nonoperated interests in properties in several fields located in the Permian Basin of West Texas and southeast New Mexico, as well as the Texas Gulf Coast. The Permian Basin fields included in the sale are the Empire ABO unit, Jo Mill/Spraberry, the Sundown Slaughter unit, various Vacuum leases and several nonoperated interests associated with these fields. Along the Texas Gulf Coast, ExxonMobil wants to sell its nonoperated interest in the Hastings Field in Brazoria and Galveston counties. The ExxonMobil Corp. subsidiary, which is based in Houston, did not disclose operating data on the fields or how much it expects to earn from the sale. However, a compact disk containing ExxonMobil’s sales instructions and sample agreements, accounting, geological, engineering data and land descriptions is available. ExxonMobil also will open a data room in Houston to prospective bidders in December. Bids are due by Jan. 28, and the effective date of the sale is May 1, 2008. Maritimes Seeks Bondholders’ OK to Transfer Duke Interest to GasCo

Duke Energy, which holds 77.53% interest in Maritimes & Northeast Pipeline LLC, announced last Thursday that Maritimes has begun soliciting consents from holders of its 7.70% senior secured bonds due 2019. The solicitation is tied to Duke Energy’s plans to spin off its natural gas-related businesses into a separate company.

Due to expiring contracts, Atlanta-based AGL Resources announced Tuesday it is soliciting bids for firm and interruptible natural gas storage services that will be available in early 2006 at the company’s Pivotal Energy Development Jefferson Island Storage & Hub (JISH), a salt cavern storage facility in Louisiana.

NASA Ohio Offices Looking for Natural Gas Management Services

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)is soliciting a qualified small business contractor to provide natural gas supply management services for a year starting Oct. 1, 2005 for the its Glenn Research Center (GRC) located in Cleveland, OH served by Dominion/East Ohio Gas and its Plum Brook Station (PBS), located in Sandusky, OH on Columbia Gas.

Kinder Morgan Energy Partners LP said Tuesday that it’s Texas Intrastate Pipeline Group is soliciting interest in firm pipeline and storage capacity that is expected to be available in April 2006. About 400,000 MMBtu/d of firm intrastate pipeline capacity and 4 Bcf of storage space is being offered in the open season. Kinder Morgan said the pipeline space will be accessible via various receipt points along its Texas intrastate system and gas can be delivered to certain industrial end users as well as other pipelines. The storage space will include nine storage cycles annually with 150,000 Dth/d of injection capability and 300,000 Dth/d of withdrawal capability. KMP’s Texas intrastate system covers 5,800 miles and has a peak transport capacity of about 5 Bcf/d with 120 Bcf of working storage capacity.
