Small Producer Gets Oil, Gas from Louisiana Eagle Ford

Indigo II Louisiana Operating LLC said it has made a new oil discovery in central Louisiana with its first horizontal well targeting the Louisiana Eagle Ford Shale (LA Eagle Ford).

US Infrastructure Holdings LLC (USI) is buying the Wildcat Sabine Gathering System in the Bossier-Haynesville Shale. The newly constructed 28-mile pipeline runs along the Texas-Louisiana border in the northwest corner of Sabine Parish, LA, and gathers and transports gas for producers including Eagle Oil & Gas Co., which has dedicated acreage from its North Toledo Bend Project. The system has takeaway capacity of 200 MMcf/d and includes treating and compression facilities. USI said it will begin construction of a 20-mile extension at the southern end of the Wildcat system to provide producers with direct access to markets served by Gulf South Pipeline Co. LP and Tennessee Gas Pipeline. The expansion will bring Wildcat’s takeaway capacity to 400 MMcf/d and is expected to be complete by mid-2012.

Propane Player Cites Shale Liquids in Midstream Deal

Propane company NGL Energy Partners LP had its eye on North America’s expanding liquids-rich shale plays when it agreed to acquire the natural gas liquids (NGL) assets of SemGroup Corp.’s SemStream LP in a deal worth about $283 million.

Anschutz Exploration Corp. has exited the Bakken Shale play after closing the sale of its remaining operated and nonoperated oil and gas producing properties in the Williston Basin, including undeveloped acreage, to an undisclosed Canadian oil company for $115 million. The deal comes less than a year after the company sold 180,000 net acres to Oxy USA in December 2010 for $1.4 billion.
