NOVA returned its imbalance tolerance range to the normal -4/+4 after having tightened it to -2/+4 Wednesday.

Most operations at the Mont Belvieu, TX, natural gas liquids (NGL) processing plant owned and operated by Enterprise Products Partners LP (EPD) are either back to normal or soon will be, and plans for a new fractionator there remain on schedule, said EPD CEO Michael Creel.

Related to the colder-than-normal weather forecasted in its market area, Southern Star Central has posted a list of criteria (see the bulletin board) to which shippers must adhere to prevent the pipeline from issuing a systemwide or point- or shipper-specific OFO on short notice. The restrictions are expected to remain in effect until the start of Monday’s gas day.

However, the pipeline said an earlier notice about a Friday SOL had been inadvertently posted and no SOL will be in effect that day.

With Tomas being further demoted from a tropical storm to a tropical depression and the industry expecting a much larger-than-normal storage injection in Thursday report for the week ending Oct. 29, natural gas futures were back to probing the downside in Wednesday’s regular trading session.

The ExxonMobil-operated Sable Offshore Energy Project (SOEP) facility returned to normal production levels for gas day Sunday, according to Spectra Energy subsidiaries Maritimes Canada and Maritimes U.S. The facility produces between 400 and 500 MMcf/d of natural gas and 20,000 b/d of natural gas liquids near Sable Island on the edge of the Nova Scotian continental shelf in eastern Canada. The SOEP planned maintenance outage, which began in early May, was originally expected to end for gas day May 11.
