Northern Natural Gas issued a System Overrun Limitation for Saturday through Tuesday in all market-area zones (ABC, D and EF) due to lower-than-normal system-weighted temperatures.

Florida Gas Transmission tightened the tolerance for negative imbalances to 10% in extending an Overage Alert Day (OAD) through at least Thursday. In its first two days the OAD tolerance had been 15%.

Southern Star Central said it will rescind Friday the System Critical Notice that became effective Tuesday but will still have in place the System Advisory Notice that was implemented Sunday (see the bulletin board for its criteria). The System Advisory Notice conditions are expected to remain in effect until Jan. 21, Southern Star Central said.

Thursday may have been the final day of a Type 6 OFO for short imbalances on Southern‘s system, although the pipe said another one for short imbalances was “highly likely” to be in effect Friday. It did not expect an OFO Saturday for either long or short imbalances. Southern also will require two points to shut in during a pigging operation on the 20-inch diameter Pugh Line, which is scheduled for Monday through Jan. 31. A force majeure will be in effect, Southern said.

CenterPoint canceled Thursday the Operational Alert regarding a force majeure on Line NT-1 that had been declared a day earlier.

Rockies Express lifted Thursday the Action Advisory it had issued Jan. 6 due to forecasts of severe weather entering its Zone 1 supply area that weekend.

ANR now expects to continue engine repairs at Joliet (IL) Compressor Station through Tuesday, keeping total NGPL-Joliet Interconnect capacity limited to 90,000 Dth/d.

Maintenance projects are scheduled to reduce Southern California Gas storage injection capacity by 45 MMcf/d/ from Jan. 24 to March 25 at the Goleta facility and by 75 MMcf/d in the March 7-21 period at the Playa del Rey facility.

Northwest reported that a piece of logging equipment slid down an embankment Wednesday onto the pipeline’s right-of-way about 10 miles south of Eugene (OR) Compressor Station. Ground conditions were such that the equipment sank and appears to be resting on the pipeline, Northwest said, but under current conditions it is not reducing any customer services on the Grants Pass Lateral.
