Transportation Notes

ANR is not accepting nominations at the French Lick (IN) Meter Station, an interconnect with Texas Eastern, until further notice. The station has been shut in due to measurement problems, ANR said Friday.

Transportation Note

Texas Eastern Transmission rescheduled the outage of its Main Pass system for Monday because of Claudette. Nominations and production entering the system will be cut to zero. A third-party production platform operator is removing its platform from the system at the upstream end of the 24-inch diameter mainline. The entire system will be removed from service to accommodate the work and required piping modifications. Tetco will be unable to receive production from any meter located upstream of Venice on the Main Pass System for eight to 12 days.

Transportation Notes

Transwestern allocated its San Juan Lateral capacity for Tuesday’s Cycle 3 nominations from 800,000 MMBtu/d to about 600,000 MMBtu/d. Bloomfield Station’s Unit #4 and the Gallup Electric Compressor Station were not available for Tuesday’s gas day, the pipeline said. Teams are evaluating and working on the stations’ problems. Transwestern expected to schedule 800,000 MMBtu/d for Wednesday. The Blanco-Thoreau segment of the lateral was scheduled to remain limited to 800,000 MMBtu/d through April 14 before returning to full 860,000 MMBtu/d capacity on April 15 (see Daily GPI, March 28).

Senate Sets Confirmation Hearing for FERC Nominee; Hold Possible

After two nominations by the White House, one last year and again in January, the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee has scheduled a hearing this week to consider the confirmation of Joseph T. Kelliher to one of two open seats on the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. His nomination, however, could be put on hold by Senate Democrats.

Transportation Notes

Effective with the start of Monday’s gas day, Texas Eastern was not accepting incremental IT nominations for delivery to Market Zone 3 (M-3). In addition, no due-shipper imbalance makeup gas was available in M-3. Affililate Algonquin restricted Monday all incremental forward-haul AIT and Authorized Overrun service anywhere on its system.

Transportation Notes

Tennessee reported completion of the Torrington Lateral project and is now accepting nominations at the Winsted and Torrington meters. The lateral originates in Massachusetts as a Zone 6 interconnect with Line 200 and go about 20 miles south to Torrington, CT.
