El Paso Energy’s Tennessee Gas Pipeline and Consolidated NaturalGas’ CNG Transmission jointly unveiled the Atlantic AllianceProject on Monday. If successful, this project will transport up to750,000 Dth/d from Chicago market center and the Niagara ImportPoint into eastern markets.

(OEI) entered into a drilling agreement with DukeEnergy Hydrocarbons, LLC to jointly develop 13 OEI drillingprospects in the outer continental shelf. San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) has completed the saleof its 951 MW Encina Power Plant in Carlsbad, CA, and 253 MW ofcombustion turbine facilities in San Diego County to Dynegy Inc.and NRG Energy Inc.

The Millennium Pipeline Project and Southern Energy New York,the company that manages Southern Energy’s New York assets, jointlyannounced Wednesday a plan to build an extension from the proposedMillennium Pipeline to the Bowline Power Plant in Rockland County,NY. The interconnect will be counted as an addition to Millenniumwhich still awaits FERC approval.
