Pacific Gas & Electric said Friday it was working to resolveproblems with the OFO/EFO Outlook and System Inventory Status linkson its Pipe Ranger web site, hoping to restore them to operationSunday. Meanwhile, the utility assured shippers that no OFO hadbeen called for Saturday.

CIG said Friday an OFO begun Nov. 11 (see Daily GPI, Nov. 11) and regarding FT imbalances andand limitations on storage injections would remain in effect throughthe weekend. Based on the latest weather forecasts, CIG anticipatesbeing able to lift the OFO Tuesday. A new bulletin board posting todaywill update the OFO status.

Marketer Bankruptcy Puts GA Customers in Limbo

Friday represented the eye of the storm for Georgia’s gasindustry, as Atlanta Gas Light (AGL), the state’s largestdistributor, and Peachtree Natural Gas, the bankrupt supplier to177,000 gas customers, brokered an interim solution to theirproblems at a federal bankruptcy court hearing. The hearing was aresult of an earlier AGL filing with the bankruptcy court, seekingto distribute Peachtree’s customers to other, “more creditworthy”suppliers.

Koch Gateway has planned maintenance for today and Friday forits Index 129 segment (West 30-inch mainline in East Texas). Exceptfor gas received and delivered south of Mile Post 98.33 (Koch’sColorado River crossing near the Wharton/Fort Bend County line),all other receipts south of 98.33 will be scheduled to zero.However, at shippers’ request, up to a total of 233,000 MMBtu/d ofdeliveries (the pipeline’s total firm obligation from the area)will be kept whole.
