Due to warmer weather in its market area and lower overall linepack, Florida Gas Transmission issued Thursday an Overage Alert Day notice with 15% tolerance for negative imbalances.

Citing significant market area demand, Florida Gas Transmission advised shippers Friday to be watchful over the weekend for a potential Overage Alert Day notice.

Due to mild weather in its market area and high linepack, Florida Gas Transmission issued an Underage Alert Day notice Tuesday with 10% tolerance for positive daily imbalances.

Saying linepack and operating conditions had improved, Florida Gas Transmission did not extend an Underage Alert Day notice beyond Tuesday.

Citing mild market area weather and high linepack, Florida Gas Transmission declared an Underage Alert Day Tuesday with 10% tolerance for positive daily imbalances. FGT also said it will be performing unplanned maintenance today and Thursday at an off-system interconnect with Tennessee at Carnes, MS. Interconnect volumes are limited to 30 MMcf/d during the work.

Florida Gas Transmission reported Thursday that during ascheduled maintenance project near Eustis, FL, a controlledblowdown of the 24-inch mainline was ignited, damaging power linesin the area. However, “this portion of the blowdown of gas is nowover and the situation is under control,” FGT said. Deliveries ofscheduled volumes were not affected, it added.

Florida Gas Transmission said a Zone 1 constraint resulting fromhydrostatic testing immediately downstream of Station 4 in MatagordaCounty, TX will be completed by Thursday and it is accepting all Zone1 nominations for that gas day. The maintenance period, which beganOct. 20, 2000 and was originally scheduled to end Dec. 1, 2000, wasextended several times (see Daily GPI, Jan.24).
