Florida Gas Transmission canceled an Overage Alert Day notice afterit had been in effect for Wednesday only (see Daily GPI, Jan. 11).

Sonat continued to hold off Thursday on plans to shut inout-of-spec gas upstream of processing facilities in Toca, LA (seeDaily GPI, Jan. 11). TheWestern-operated plant at Toca did recommence processing operationsWednesday based on sufficient volumes being submitted to the plant,Sonat said. However, a mechanical problem arose when the Toca II plantwas being tested for start-up; thus it is not in operation at thistime, but repairs are expected to be completed Saturday. Meanwhile,Western’s plant is at capacity until Toca II can resumeoperations. “This should help the quality of the Toca gas stream sincea smaller volume of gas is now being routed through Southern’semergency operations facilities,” Sonat said. Provided that all gasupstream of Toca is being processed starting Sunday, the pipelineadded, it will continue to postpone shut-in plans.
