FERC has awarded CenterPoint Energy Gas Transmission a certificate to carry out a mainline compression expansion in Oklahoma that would permit greater volumes of Rocky Mountain natural gas to be transported eastward to markets across its pipeline system.

Tidelands Begins NEPA Prefiling Process on 2 Large Border Crossing Pipelines

San Antonio-based Tidelands Oil & Gas Corp. initiated the pre-filing process at FERC under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) for the United States portion of its proposed Burgos Hub Export/Import Project, which is expected to lead to development of Mexico’s first natural gas market hub, gas storage field and offshore Gulf of Mexico liquefied natural gas (LNG) import terminal.

Northwest Pipeline Receives FERC PD for Northern Leg Pipe Replacement

FERC voted Wednesday to issue a preliminary determination on non-environmental issues for Williams’ Northwest Pipeline to abandon 268 miles of a 26-inch, 50-year-old pipeline on its mainline in Washington state, starting at Sumas on the Canadian border, and replace the capacity with looping and compression along a parallel 30-inch line (CP05-32).
