Price in fact told theThe Oklahomanthat McClendon had “kindly offered to provide me with an office, and I have accepted…Aubrey and I have worked really well together on trying to do things that benefit Oklahoma City. I think we can continue to do that and hopefully enhance the prosperity of the state as well.” Neither Hood nor Price are said to be part of the new endeavor, said the spokesman. Also, American Energy’s spokesman claimed that neither McClendon nor his associates own the headquarters in Oklahoma City, as state officials had indicated in April.

With one Commissioner referring to it as a “king-like” endeavor, FERC last Thursday issued certificates for three projects that will make up the westernmost end of Rockies Express Pipeline LLC’s proposed $4 billion 1,663-mile pipeline that would transport Rocky Mountain natural gas to Midwest and eastern markets.
