Kansas City Power & Light yesterday announced theappointment of Bernard J. Beaudoin as CEO effective Jan.1, 2001.Beaudoin also will continue to be president as appointed in 1999.Beaudoin joined the company in 1980 as director of corporateplanning, and was named vice president of finance in 1984 andsenior vice president of finance in 1991. In 1992, he becamepresident and director of KLT Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary ofKCP&L. Beaudoin will be assuming the CEO title from DrueJennings who currently serves as chairman of the board. Jenningswill remain chairman until the company’s annual shareholders’meeting on May 1, 2001 when he will retire from KCP&L. Thecompany also announced the appointment of Andrea Bielsker to thepositions of CFO and vice president of finance & treasurer.Bielsker has been with the company since 1984.

Northwest issued a Declared Stage II Entitlement for deliverypoints north of the Kemmerer (WY) Compressor Station, effectiveSaturday until further notice. The purpose was to prevent customerdrafting of the system and to preserve Northwest’s Jackson Prairiestorage inventory, the pipeline said. A Receiving Party is subjectto penalties for delivery point takes of more than 8% above itsconfirmed nominations.

Sonat notified shippers Saturday that nine groups on its SouthGeorgia system would be under an OFO Type 22 effective Monday untilfurther notice. Cold weather and projected demand on the systemwere cited as reasons for the OFO.

Citing “decisive customer response,” effective with Sunday’s gas day Northwest lifted a Stage I Overrun Entitlement Period that had begun Thursday (see Daily GPI, Sept. 29). A Deficiency Period associated with a compressor outage at the Soda Springs Station in Wyoming (see Daily GPI, Oct. 2) remains in effect until further notice.
