Pacific Gas & Electric is lifting Friday a systemwide high-inventory OFO that had been in effect since Wednesday. Southern California Gas also will end a two-day high-linepack OFO Friday.

Pacific Gas & Electric issued a systemwide Stage 3 high-inventory OFO for Wednesday on its California Gas Transmission system. Penalties of $5/Dth will apply to shippers who exceed a positive daily imbalance tolerance of 3%.

Only a day after ending a three-day systemwide Stage 2 high-inventory OFO Tuesday, Pacific Gas & Electric is reinstating it Wednesday on its California Gas Transmission system. As on Sunday and Monday of the previous OFO, the new one will have $1/Dth penalties for exceeding a 5% tolerance for positive daily imbalances.

Southern California Gas allowed a high-linepack OFO that was in effect Saturday to lapse Sunday. Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) kept its systemwide Stage 2 high-inventory OFO, which began Saturday, in effect through Sunday and Monday. Saturday’s 9% tolerance for positive daily imbalances was tightened to 5% both Sunday and Monday. PG&E is ending its OFO Tuesday.

Early Wednesday morning Southern California Gas declared a high-linepack OFO on the Intraday 1 nominations cycle for that day, saying it would assess Buy-Back charges in accordance with its rules and tariffs to customers who delivered into the SoCalGas system more than 110% of their actual gas usage on the OFO day. The OFO will remain in effect through at least Thursday, the LDC said.
