The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on Tuesday approved an imbalance cash-out report of Midwestern Gas Transmission Co. for the period of September 2003 through August 2004.

FERC Wednesday approved a certificate for Paiute Pipeline to acquire and operate the H.G. Laub LNG storage peaking facilities and an associated stretch of pipeline near Lovelock, NV from Uzal LLC for $21.97 million. Paiute currently leases and operates the facilities, which were built in 1982, including the 61 miles of 20-inch pipeline loop.

The Export-Import Bank of the United States Thursday approved a loan guarantee of up to $930 million to support the export of U.S. goods and services to Qatar Liquefied Gas Co. Ltd. II to build an LNG project and related offshore and onshore facilities in Qatar.

The Senate on Monday approved a proposal that would authorize the construction of a mega-natural gas pipeline from Alaska’s North Slope to the lower 48 states, and a sweeping corporate tax cut bill that contains a number of energy-related tax credits.
