In an effort to stay current with the continuously changing North American natural gas market, NGI is proposing to make several changes to the spot market price tables that appear in NGI’s Bidweek Gas Price Survey, NGI’s Weekly Gas Price Index, and NGI’s Daily Gas Price Index newsletters. These changes would be effective as of the first December 2013 editions of our various Gas Price Index newsletters, and are as follows:
Index name change to Enable East, to reflect the change of the pipeline from CenterPoint Energy to Enable Gas Transmission. Our definition of this index point would remain the same.
Index name change to Enable West, to reflect the change of the pipeline from CenterPoint Energy to Enable Gas Transmission. Our definition of this index point would remain the same.
Index name change to Enable South, to reflect the change of the pipeline from CenterPoint Energy to Enable Gas Transmission. Our definition of this index point would remain the same.
Daily & Weekly GPI only
We plan to change the name of this point from Leidy to Leidy Hub, in an effort to eliminate any potential confusion between the Leidy Hub and Transco’s Leidy Line, which we publish as a separate and distinct index. Our definition of the Leidy Hub would remain the same.
We would like to split this index into two separate price points: TETCO M3 Receipts, and TETCO M3 Delivered. Our rationale behind this planned move is as follows: 1.) to be consistent with our TETCO M2 listing, which we also split into separate Receipt and Delivered postings in 2012. 2.) to provide a separate measure for receipts into TETCO M3, much of which we believe reflects growing Marcellus Shale production. Receipts into TETCO M3 typically trade at a discount to M3 deliveries. We would continue to run the existing combined TETCO M3 index going forward.
We are changing the name of this listing to Transco-Leidy Line. The index itself is the same, but the name is more descriptive.

Last month, we also debuted our new NGI’s Storage Hub Price table, which appears in our Daily and Weekly Gas Price Index newsletters, and features prices at the following storage locations:
SoCal Gas Storage
N. Texas Tolar Hub
