Jon L. Thompson, president, ExxonMobil Exploration Co., and vice president, Exxon Mobil Corp., will retire on May 31 after more than 41 years of service. The board of directors is expected to elect A. T. (Tim) Cejka as president of ExxonMobil Exploration and elect him a vice president effective June 1. Cejka is currently an executive vice president of ExxonMobil Exploration. J.L. (Johnny) Hall, currently vice president, Geoscience, ExxonMobil Development Co., also will become an executive vice president of ExxonMobil Exploration effective June 1. Thompson, 65, assumed his current position in December 1999. Before the merger of Exxon and Mobil, Thompson had been president of ExxonMobil Exploration since 1991.

Donald C. Hintz, president of Entergy Corp., has been nominated to join the board of directors. Shareholders will vote on the nomination at the annual meeting on May 14. Hintz, 61, who has served as Entergy’s president since January 1999, announced his retirement, which takes effect at the end of April. Hintz joined the Entergy system in 1989 as executive vice president and COO of System Energy Resources Inc. and served in various senior management positions within Entergy’s nuclear organization before assuming his role as president of Entergy.

National Fuel Gas Co. has named Ronald J. Tanski as treasurer and principal financial officer, and Karen M. Camilo has been elected as controller and principal accounting officer. They replace Joseph P. Pawlowski, who had served as treasurer, controller, as well as principal financial and accounting officer. Pawlowski retired April 1 after 28 years with the company.
