  • Shell plc has inked a 10-year, 0.8 million metric ton/year (mmty) offtake agreement for additional supply from Oman’s majority state-owned liquefied natural gas terminal starting in 2025.
  • The firm also signed tentative agreements to collaborate on further natural gas exploration in Oman, increasing liquefaction and developing a hydrogen production and export hub in the country.
  • The agreements follow a 2 mmty deal between Oman LNG and a group of Japanese firms disclosed in December set to start in 2025.
