The $6 billion NiSource-Columbia merger is on its way down the homestretch, with only the Securities and Exchange Commission’s approvalleft in its path on the way to its predicted end of the yearcompletion date (see Daily GPI, July27). To ensure that the combined company moves through thetransition process smoothly, NiSource announced more post-mergerleadership positions for its lengthy list of business units.

In addition to the announcements made on Aug. 1, NiSource releasedthe following appointments to positions within the new energypowerhouse (see Daily GPI,Aug. 2). Robert Skaggs will retain his position as president andCEO of Columbia Gas of Ohio and Columbia Gas of Kentucky as well asexpanding his role as president and CEO of NiSource’s Bay State GasCo. subsidiary. Anthony Trubisz will continue to be the president andCEO of Columbia Gas of Virginia, but his job titles will increase tocover Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania and Maryland as well.

On Columbia’s pipeline side, Terrence L. McGill will keep hisjob as president of Columbia Gulf Transmission, and Glen L.Kettering will continue on as president of Columbia GasTransmission

In exploration and production, W. Henry Harmon will lose hisposition as CEO, but will retain his title of president of ColumbiaNatural Resources (CNR). CNR is one of the largest producers of gasand oil in the Appalachian Basin, with holdings that include theequivalent of 860Bcf of gas reserves in 8,000 wells.
