EOG Resources Inc. has retained Meagher Oil & Gas Properties Inc. to sell operated producing properties in Oklahoma’s Lincoln and Oklahoma counties. The package includes an average 99% working interest (80% net revenue interest) in 6,442 net acres in 30 sections of which 2,463 acres are producing. The assets include 19 wells within a six-mile radius producing high-Btu gas from the Pen and Cleveland sands, EOG said. Production is 954 Mcf/d , with 2.5 b/d of oil net projected for June. Estimated net cash flow for June is $270,000. A salt water disposal well and water lines are in place. Upside, said EOG, includes one additional Peru location identified and two Hunton/Oswego extensional locations. The bid due date is May 22; the effective date is June 1. EnergyQuest II LLC paid $95 million to acquire some South Louisiana properties from Clayton Williams Energy Inc. The property sale has an effective date of March 1, 2008. The purchase expands EnergyQuest’s holdings along the Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast where it focuses its operations. EnergyQuest II was formed by the former principals of EnergyQuest Resources LP after they divested EnergyQuest’s assets in early 2007 for more than $132 million. Houston-based EnergyQuest II is funded by its management team and Quantum Energy Partners IV LP, which was formed by Quantum Energy Partners. Quantum Energy is an investment firm specializing in the energy industry with more than $3.2 billion in capital under management.

Gulf Coast Connector LLC, a subsidiary of NGS Energy LP, is extending an ongoing open season through May 23 for service at a proposed natural gas storage and transportation hub in northeastern Louisiana. Gulf Coast Connector is soliciting interest for up to 16 Bcf of storage capacity and firm transportation and wheeling services independent of storage. Gulf Coast Connector plans to construct 40 miles of pipeline from the Perryville hub area to Delhi to transport up to 2 Bcf/d of gas. The company plans to file permit applications with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission his summer. The anticipated phase in-service date is December 2009 for transportation and summer 2011 for the first phase of storage-related services.
